I am a political science professor and department chair at UC Davis where I study American politics. My research focuses on various aspects of mass public opinion and political behavior, and I teach courses on those topics along with classes on election law, research methods and quantitative analysis.
Before coming to Davis in 1999 I was an American Political Science Association
Congressional Fellow and worked in the U.S. Senate specializing in education
and welfare policy.
